I forgot I have an ICM I could sell you too lol. I gotta double check if the 97 year works for other years. What year is yours again?

I know I'm late to this party, and you guys don't know me at all, but I just experienced a "misfire under load/boost" on my 02 ssei. The control module and coils were good but...

The heat sinc/bracket was loose, causing the misfire. It never popped a cell. The misfire DEFINITELY hit hard, like a fuel cut, or shutting the key off/on quickly. Once I tightened the control mod bracket the problem was eliminated... Gone.

    Just wanted to share!

iirc there should also be a ground wire that goes by the icm bracket too.

I don't see a heat sink but the ICM is tight on the bracket. The ground wire is also hooked up.

Is the icm 7mm retaining bolt snug? This is the bolt that holds the wiring connector to the ICM

Does the ground wire have a giod connection tho? I would sand it down a little just to be sure

Yeah I left it unhooked by accident after one of the 100 times I had to pull the valve cover. Didn't notice a difference

I JUST reconnected mine after doing the VC gaskets. Didn't notice any problems before. I figured it would be a good idea to reconnect it though. LOL!

I should've known better than to challenge your knowledge of various 3800 bolt sizes.

LOL.. there's a few that will trip ya up.

Like alt/tensioner bracket bolt head sizes are different 97/98ish vs 00+

Do you want just the ICM? I's got one to sell but if, for whatever reason, you want the bracket and coils LMK. I'll give you a better deal then I posted

No bracket or coils needed. Just the ICM

All those aboard the ICM train may now get off.

    Swapped it out same problem.

The injector o-ring is messed up on cyl 1 gonna replace that tomorrow.

That's a bummer man. have you swapped injectors to see if it's misfiring?

    Yes I have.

My aero force isn't picking up the misfire now, or at least its not telling me which cylinder anymore.
