I have a '02 GP GT (40th) that I bought back in 2004. At around 100k miles, I started to notice a puddle of power steering fluid after driving the car, located under the driver's side.
I have flushed the PS system about every 2 years and added fresh fluid (NOTE: did not add tranny fluid as many people do)
About 2 times per year, after checking the fluid reservoir, I had to add new fluid to bring the level up to normal.
At the start of this year, miles reached 175k. I have been driving much more and noticed more leakage from the system, so I flushed the PS system once more and added Lucas stop leak PS fluid.
Now, I do not see any more leaks from the system. The fluid level is normal in the reservoir.
    Mileage is at 191,000.
This is the original PS rack in the car. I have been told by everyone (I mean everyone) that if I have a fluid leak, then the only fix is to install a new or remanufactured rack.
Anyone ever tried adding Lucas stop leak fluid to their leaking power steering system?

I've added it to mine. Seems to be working well. It's really just a far thicker fluid, so it probably still leaks, but much slower. The stuff pours slower than molasses. I'd suggest heating up the bottle first with a heat gun or something.

I can't really remember for sure, but I think on really cold days the steering can be a little stiffer, but its not bad. I've had it in my car for 3+ years and I've only used one bottle.

Speaking of Lucas oil products, in the past, I have used the Engine Oil additive, Transmission Fluid additive, Fuel system treatment, and of course the Power Steering Stop leak. All these were Lucas Oil brand additives and I had positive results from them.
I had people (going back to early 2000's) tell me that this was a total waste of money and the Lucas Oil claim that their products work is all bogus. Well, I have had many trouble free miles in all the GP's I have owned.

I just hate bandaid fixes and gimmicks. Shouldn't need to put anything in your oil but oil, ps fluid in your ps resevoir, tranny fluid in your tranny etc. anything else is a bandaid fix hiding the real problem in my experience.
