Are you able to upload a video showing the rattle?

I wouldnt start the motor again untill you have check all the fluid levels.
Make sure it's fully of coolant and motor oil.
See if you can move any of the pulleys on the drivebelt. Like say its the water pump making all the noise, that pulley will likely have play in it.
After that you could take a video and watch the engine run, see if anything looks wrong on anything on the drive belt. And the worst it can be is a rod knock and looks of metallic sounds and oil will look like glitter.
The water pump is fairly new, I installed it myself recently, but I didn't use a torque wrench so it leaked a little and every now and then I had to put more fluid in it, so when it started getting hot I assumed it needed more fluid. But when I opened the lid, it was halfway full and it looked rusty, so I'm thinking maybe the thermostat may be shot or something. At least that's where I'm going to start looking in the morning because of course it had to rain today too!
Well, it turns out that the thermostat was the problem, fixed it and she's back to normal. Thank you, Nelson. :-)
Must of red lined the temp, did that once and the engine was bagging like crazy, then 1000 miles later spun a bearing
