Ever since I got my 05 gtp on the road the power steering pump has whined. The steering wheel turns easy all the time. I replaced with a reman pump and fluid from the parts house but it's still the same. The fluid out of the old pump was very dark. It will get a little bit quiter after warms up. Do I need to check fluid cold or hot after I drive some. Does it need to be running while I check? Anything else could make it whine like that? And no it's not the supercharger. The cars stock Lol

Check the tranny fluid level while hot, they tend to whine just like the powersteering.

You can check it hot or cold IIRC. At least on my 00 there are marks on the stick for hot and cold readings. When you changed the pump/fluid did you bleed the system or just fill it up and go? Air in the system can make it whine. Went through this on an Imp once. Took 5-6 tries at bleeding it to finally get it to shutup, lol...
