Go to an auto parts store and purchase a Haynes manual for your car and look at the wiring schematics for the cluster. the schematics will show you where the grounds are. Also I have a 97 cluster for sale if you want one

I did. But they just come up as evap. Which I had tuned out.. Sooo

If you had evap tuned out, you wouldn't be getting a code for it.
I dont see how it could be the icm.
Did you re attach the ground for it?
I swapped the icm out for another one I had laying around. Both were on a running driving car
did you bolt the ground up?
The code isn't throwing itself for the heck of it. Read up til your eyes bleed and if you can.. look at the actual GM diagnostic aids. I know you might have access to it.
Im gonna take the icm and clean ground up
