    the wire from the seat belt broke, or came unplugged. follow the clip part by the console down and under the seat, you'll see a black wire coming off the part that gets bolted to the floor.

    98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

    Same thing happened to me. I just unplugged the damn connector.

    inside the buckel can go bad, but likely the wire got damaged. its a easy check.

    It's just a light anyways if you can't find a tear on the wiring then bam next easy/cheapest fix and seatbelts will still work like they should

    On my car it was more than a light. The dinger went off too.

    Mine have never done that as far as I know. Does that mean its more than the seat buckle? Also would I have to warn the next seller if I was to sell the car?

    Just an update I checked the wiring and it looked good. I blew into the seat buckle and the light goes off now. Idk maybe it was just dusty.

    Bad news I checked my coolant and it was sludged up . Looks like its lim time
