Not to thread jack but did anyone else have a raspier exhaust after SD headers? I don't get why my exhaust sounds worst coming from a previous zzp 3in dp that setup was quiet. I don't have any apparent leaks down there.

Mine got really raspy/ popping noises at high rpm, buy I had no resonator, I put in a 26" glass pack it made a big difference, on pg 11 in my car thread is a before and after glasspack video

I have a glass pack too though about the same size and still has high rpm rasp. I mean I like it in the sense I have blower whine combined with exhaust noise on wot lol but still annoying too.

This looks a little better. I'd like to wait until the price drops until I buy it but that's a better downpipe.

That set just has an extra downpipe by the look of it.

they are still charging for the dp on top of the headers lol its not like its some deal where you could sell the dp off and make some cash back.

they were selling plogs, ( cant find them anymore) for 120, and that dp is also 120. buying the sd headers are like 3 bucks cheaper lol no brainer right?

it would be nice if they fixed that damn trap in the dp and didnt charge more for them. hell they should sell better with out that damn trap. so they still make money off them.

And where are you supposed to mount that DP? It has a 2-bolt flange... the header has a V-band flange.

I can imagine them having to go up in price if they fix it just because they have to alter the manufacturing process or at lesst for a bit.

Seems like nobody is selling plogs anymore i haven't put effort in searching tho. I can soon imagine ZZP to stop supporting the 3800 all together and more focusing on the Cobalts, sonics, cruzes or whatever else they have.

Cobalts are practically a cavalier. I don't get why they'd focus on those little 4 bangers

The people are wanting them more i guess I can only think they appeal more to teenagers or guys in mid 20s compared to a big family sedan, its also not a dying platform like ours is.

Mind you... I do have a little guy crawling around. The only good thing about those cobalts is the fact that people like them and the fact that mommy and daddy buy them for kids first car. I see so many smashed up on the salvage sales. Once I'm done with my Comp G I'll either pick up a Cobalt or just a GT Grand Prix. Both sell fast in my city
