    Update. LCA's and steering shaaft replace. No more clunk and no more click. Alignment in the morning and shell be good to go. Somepoint over the summer ill need to do the oil pan gasket tho.

    Yes I have the clicking coming from the drivers side only when first taking off? Why is this normal and what is it? Thanx for any response. I have a 97 GTP with 40,000 miles (original)

    its the abs self test, all w bodys with abs do it. it will self test in reverse or forward after you start the car and drive off. its like a crunch sound. if you ride the brake pedal you can feel it sometimes too. or if you hit the brakes when its does the test.

    How tough was the steering shaft replacement? Did you follow one of the walk throughs on here or did you find another source for procedure? Thanks,
