I am getting to the point where I have too many other cars to keep up so I am considering selling my 92 GTP.
I ordered the car brand new in late 91. The only options that I didn't want was Leather and Sun roof. The 5 speed trans was a must along with the color combo of Blue and Tan. T
he major problem I've over the years is that the clutch disengagement destroys the thrust bearing and ultimately the computer loses crank reference. The original engine had problems at 80K, so I swapped in a Z34 engine with 100K and it has lasted for almost 40K but now it's starting to have problems too. Since pulling the original engine I have rebuilt it with upgrades to hopefully eliminate thrust issues in the future. I wanted to install the rebuilt engine and add a Turbo at the same time for a little extra HP. The problem is that along with the engine, the car needs some cosmetic work as well and to be honest, I'd like to put the time and money into another project that I have.
I'm looking for suggestions on weather to sell it whole and what it's worth, or part out. I'd hate to part the car, but there are a lot of great parts for peoples looking.
If you can please give some thoughts and opinions.
    Thanks!

If you part it out the tranny is gonna bring about 800+. I'm not really sure what the other parts will bring but a 92 5 speed GTP should have a 284 getrag which is a very very rare and sought after tranny.

car itself isnt worth much, having 140k with a swapped engine and potential problems. if your trans is in decent shape you can probably get 800-1k out of that. trans is worth more on this market than the car, sell it to the right person and youd get a deal. you might have an easier time just taking out the trans, selling that and junking the car. for reference, i just sold my 95 grand prix with 100k on it for 1.2k. wanted it gone.

I hear you guys. I always knew that the money was in the trans.
I would have assumed that some of the other GTP specific parts, like the hood and rear seats, would have value to someone.
If guys were still building these cars, I have a great fresh engine with some nice upgrades.
Thanks for the input so far!

Part it. Keep the trans, hood, and seats. Whatever else you deem valuable and junk the rest of the car.
