I WILL have a pic of the cup holder up today when I wake up. Ironiclly enough I had bought a new one since the one currently in my car broke.

The top of the center console pops off...

Thanks, look forward to seeing this. I can't figure the darn thing out. Was hoping not to have to remove the center console.

I thought you just opened the cupholder and pushed down on the top and pulled out. And it will fall right out.

Hold on, going to go try.

Hmm...nope, can't take just the cupholder out. You need to pop off the top of the console. Just a few clips and it pops off.

open the center console lid and the entire top of console can be pried up and popped off. all you need is a flat tipped screw driver, insert it into the crack where the sides and top meet and pry up in small sections. its pretty simple

Thanks, I'll check into that tomorrow. I figured it just pulled out the front somehow, never really paid attention to the top of the console.

Pop off the upper portion of your console and its super easy from there. Its held on the sides with 2 pegs and there should be two spring thing that attach to the couple holder unit and the upper console section.

I wouldn't recommend trying pull out your cupholders with the console togther. You'll end up breaking the tabs for the springs for the cupholders. Do it like I described and it will work flawless...

Yeah, I got it apart last night. Just took the whole top off the console which is really all I needed. Not sure why I didn't think of doing that really since I have had it off before to grease up the little creaky positioner on the shifter back when I first got the car. Guess I just thought it would have been easier to only remove the cupholder for what I was doing. Now it's just laying apart in the garage where it will probably be until next Spring. The weather turned to crap here today, so the year is over for the GTP.

    Appreciate everyones input.

Nothing major, the car is just a garage queen. I just meant it will probably just stay tucked away for the winter.

I want to finish this little project and probably just tinker with it for the next few months.

I planned to do headers, smaller pulley and a retune this winter, but I'm getting a really really bad vibe on those plans.

No, she wants me to get the headers too. She's really into cars too, so I don't have issues like that. One of the many reasons I love her! Just something that I have no choice but to keep waiting for. I've got someone else waiting on my PEM's too, but they can't have those until I get the headers. Don't really care to get into it too much... yet.

I still have it on my whiteboard to make time to get up there for a movie, to help with something or just come to visit, but with work and all and the wifes schedule its not always easy to work out.

I plan on doing the Bailey Backyard Big Screen thingy a lot more next year. Maybe we can work something out just for you. I think "Hancock" will be the first showing of the season.

I just rented Hancock last weekend, unrated version as it was the only one left. I wish I had waited, LOL.
