Have you ever had your shifter stick in park and it won't come out. And it makes you have to stick a screw driver into the lock release spot? Well it happened to me and I finally got sick of using a screw driver just to get it out of park. So me and Brandon took the console apart and found a fix. This is NOT replacing it, this is a fix.

All you have to do is remove the console, pop the shifter assembly out as far as you can get it. Find the little white tab under the shift release button, and zip tie it down.

But be aware that once you do this it will shift at all times without pressing the brake.

I did this to my 00 GTP... Only downside is being able to remove the key when the car is not in park...
