I have a 01 Pontiac Grand prix Gt 3.8L with 154000 on it ( not super charged) smelling anti freeze through my heat vents when heat is on and also noticed small amount of antifreeze in my motor mount bracket, Stuff that has already been replaced on the car: elbows, hoses, alternator, rack n pinion, power steering pump, tie rods, cv axels, tranny gasket, oil pan and gasket ( have changed gasket several times cause it keeps leaking ) tranny coolant line, now I don't know why this problem keeps happening cause I took it in and a pressure check was done and it keeps pressure and don't see any leaks when the test is performed, but when I drive it and the car comes up to temp and the heat is on that's when I start to smell the antifreeze coming through my vents in the car.
Can someone please help me with this...so frusterated

    Thank you
    Sammie

definitely heater core. look to the right of your gas pedal and feel the carpet to see if there's a leak there.

sounds like a leaking heater core.

you can take the hoses off the core at the fire wall, and one off the alt bracket and loop one hose around, bypassing the core, if the smell stops it was the core.

Yep definitely sounds like heater core. You can do the bypass as a test but Michigan winter you're going to want that fixed asap.

You may want to power was the coolant out of the motor mount bracket and see if it own up again, it may be residual from the elbows being replaced. It cold also be coming from the water pump or timing cover gasket. Sometimes water pumps don't leak during a pressure test since the pump shift is not spinning. A heater core is no fun to put in.
