So about a month ago I went out and logged some 0-60 times on my ls1m logger and was having trouble getting it under 7 seconds. Since then I have capped the boost bypass solenoid, replaced the broken front sway bar on both ends with a 34 mm solid Dorman with all moog poly bushings. I also flipped my motor mounts. It is helping keep the car on the ground, but the capped boost bypass solenoid keeps boost even when no traction so I'm getting launching down. Other mods are 255 lph fp, u bend delete, resonator delete. Tonight was the first night I launched to 60 in under 6 at 5.94 seconds. Stock specs say 0-60 in 6.5- 6.7 but want to know what you guys are getting and what mods you have. Mine pretty much stock but let me hear your Input so I can relate if I have a decent time or not..

With my listed mods im doing 0-60 between 5.6-6 sec. Mainly the reason from wheelspin.and not fully tuned.
04 GTP-3.6 pulley, custom tuned, Intake, headers, thrush exhaust, al104 plugs, 180* stat, shift kit, flipped mounts

According to my Torque app (uses OBDII readings & GPS) my 2001 GTP with just an intake does 6.9-7sec, depending on the temps. Best is 6.8.
I think the Torque app is pretty accurate, I would put money on it being within 0.1sec.

Under 6sec sounds like a new goal now, need more mods!

When plugged the vac line on the boost solenoid I finally saw full boost and it seems to get into boost quicker. The only thing is makes it extra hard to launch because the solenoid won't pull all the boost when you lose traction so....

I'm going to pick up another m90 and lim today for porting and paint... So after I get everything ported out and cleaned up hopefully I can take another .1 off with my ported setup.. what's the best exhaust to complement ported? Was just going to get a plog but some say speed daddy are better for a full set of headers

And exile... I was also seeing intake temps below freezing during this run as well on an average night I can stick a 6.1 to 6.3. I really feel a difference with the suspension mods though, the swaybar and end links help put more power on the ground as well as those flipped dogmounts, they help the engine from rocking and solodfy it up. Huge difference and my lower motor mount is shot still. I would flip your dog mounts and cap that boost bypass solenoid and tell me if you feel a difference

Yeah I bet.. you kind of have to race everyone from a roll. But even then I bet you still have plenty of tea tion problems from under 40. I'm hoping a ported setup with a 3.2 meth and headers won't be that harsh to get launching down.. gotta dominate those stoplight bandits in Honda's and stuff lol

AWD would be dumb. Good luck.

    http://s241.photobucket.com/user/blu...tml?sort=4&o=3

    Yeah, need better tires.

Feathering the throttle is key. I've found holding it in 1 until about 20~ seems to work well if you can keep it from blowing the tires off, that way it doesn't shift and bog. Once you've found the happy medium between spinning and traction...then put it in 3 and let the auto do the work.

I just leave it in drive with performance shift. You ease into it off the line and keep it right on the edge of no traction right until about 3-4k and then wot it helps a lot.. finding out that 2 nd will be a little tougher cause it's oon the border of tea tion shifting and around 30-40

    It goes with mods.

Trust me. 3.2"~ with meth and bolt-ons is still pretty simple to drive. When you start digging into the valvetrain, changing gearing...things become more difficult traction wise.

I hear ya. Won't have money to get into valvetrain and the tranny stuff for a while.. still debating on whether to go full boar on mods with the gtp or leave it at a 3.2 and find a red autocross car..

I had a twin turbo stealth before my gtp and it was a blast with the awd. I've heard that someone on this forum did a vr4 swap into a gtp.

    You heard wrong, lol.

    But that is pretty hysterical.

RWD swap has been done quite a few times...it's just lolworthy with all the work involved.
