Has anyone replaced the heater temperature control unit? I have an '02 GTP with the dual controls and the passenger side does not work unless I hold the knob to the right but it goes back to cold if released. The wiper of the pot must be broke. The new unit is about $350 and it seems to be a lot of work to replace. I do all of my own repairs, have the dealer shop manuals, and am a pretty good wrench, but haven't done this job yet. The dealer manuals are a pain to follow because they jump you all around to get something accomplished. I have read all of this repair but haven't been able to follow it as well as I would like. Thanks for any input.

P.S. I've been out of touch for a while due to life's callings. I'll be more regular in the future.

first off welcome!! secondly I moved this thread to the "Tech" section.....as it is more repair oriented.

thirdly..... The center section of the dash comes out. Be careful...but just gently pry out on it.... it will unclip. then you will have easy access to the climate control unit, stereo..etc. It should just be held in by 2 phillips head/10mm screws. IT should just slide right out with the harness attached to the back. you should just be able to undo the harness connector and pop in the new unit.
