On my 98 GTP, the SC had a black fill plug that required a torx to remove it. Well that stripped so I ordered a new one, the one they sent is gold with an Alan head wrench removal. Will it still fit?

It should. Only one way to find out...go out and take the 30 sec it takes to install it.

It's quicker to go try it rather then waiting for a response on here.

That is odd that it was a torques bit. All the ones I have seen were alen head.

^^ yep asking a question on a forum when it takes a few seconds to find out is just silly. IF im stuck and cant figure out how to get the bolt out then i will ask but that dont happen very often.

The only reason I asked before trying is because I don't want to Dremel the other one out and find that the other one doesn't fit, then be stuck without a plug.

You should be able to just look at it and tell if its going to fit or not. Have at it.

why would you cut all the way through the plug?

try some heat, a plumbers soldering torch works good to warm up the snout around the plug, not the plug so much, the idea is to heat the outs side of the threads so they expand and the threads break free.

You freaking out about junking the car isn't going to fix the problem.

Stop driving it. Take the snout off and get the plug out. drain the sc oil first if possible. If you weren't prepared for something like this to potentially happen you shouldn't have attempt to get the screw out when it stripped.

We're all good! Dad saves the day by jamming a torx in with a hammer. Somehow. Haha I tried earlier but I guess he has a lucky touch! But the supercharger oil is surprisingly full. I am trying to take pics of something and put them on here. Is the best way to copy and paste a photobucket link?
