I'm not trying to be a dick, you do a good job keeping the forums straight and all but I think deleting members posts maybe going a bit too far. Peoples opinions where things need to be put can very I think. Thats all i'm saying, i'm not complaining or anything, i'm just giving my 2 cents, that all.

Enough of this, back on topic.....
Thats why forum descriptions are posted at the top of each section. Ive asked on a few occasions for everyone to pay attention to those descriptions. When that didnt help, I posted a thread about it. When that didnt help, I put into place a set of actions that would be followed if that continued. Sad to say, as in the case of your post, people are still not reading the forum descriptions to make sure their posts are in the correct area, and Ive deleted quite a few already. There is no 'opinion' to be followed on where the posts should go if you read the forum descriptions. With few exceptions, its fairly straight forward if one takes the time to make sure that what they are posting about lines up with the description for that area.

You may think its harsh, but how hard is it to nip it at the source and read the forum descriptions and double check where you are posting?

I just gave my 2 cents and I think I gave a fairly valid point. On certain things, they could be posted in other forums which you may or may not agree with. I'd hate to see people get screwed over because of this and miss some pretty decent posts, thats all. Its ok to keep things in order, but you don't have to be super anal about it. Thats all i'm saying.

I'm cool with the rules and all and i'm not general a person who fights the man, but some rules need to be tweaked or many will break them unintentional. Thats my point.

I hate to hear we're losing posts like that, its a shame. Oh well, I don't know anything, i'm only a High School Grad...

And again, you're missing the point. All it takes is a few seconds to read the forum description. And I dont consider it being 'super anal' when you make posts asking everyone to watch where they are posting, then give advance notice that things would change if the trend continued and even then I still dont delete all I could given the new guidelines, as in your case. Furthermore, its a scaled response taking into account whether you are new here or not.

But again, ALL of this can be avoided by simply taking time to read the forum descriptions. I even take into account if someone says they werent sure.

There are two things to keep in mind:

    1. It is the members responsibility to keep current with the rules laid out here.
    2. If you read the forum descriptions, you'll most likely post in the right area if you ask yourself does the question I want to ask fit in this section.

    Its really that simple.

And... you're missing my point. Things can be posted in certain places where you might think it needs to go or not. Sure everyone watches there posts, thats not a big thing, hell I do that too. But it can be policed too far IMO. Seems like ever other thread I read is you posting "Moved thread, blah blah blah, read this here". I don't mind you moving posts and what not, but deleting things because there not exactly where you like them kinda sucks IMO. I don't think even ClubGP does that, i've never had any problems over there, or any other forums i'm with for that matter.

People are gonna post things in wrong sections, it happens. But everyone is trying there best to post them in the right places too IMO too. Why punish someone for something so simple? I don't see the point. I figure if I take the time to post something (forum material, nothing pornographic obviously) and it gets deleted, I think thats bull****. Simple as that. The whole idea of this forum was to get away from the little ClubGP bull****, why start new bull**** over here?

I just do not agree with deleting posts because you don't like em where there at, thats all.

Exactly my point and why the rules were put in place, to curb that behavior and to cut down on the number of posts that need to be moved.

Yes it does, and again, thats why the rule that was implemented is a sliding scale of sorts.

Thats fine, but thats what the rules are and what I will follow. The information was given in advance before I even started following those rules and everyone had plenty of time to adjust.

And the rules can be tweaked a little more. This is a GP forum, not a damn country. I think things should be reconsidered. Rules can be changed, thats not an impossible task IMO. You act like we're dealing with the 10 comandments or something.

Or we can go back to the really simple way to avoid it all and just pay attention to where you post. We can debate the rules until the cows come home, but they are what they are an it is how it is and the simple solution, again, is just to pay attention to where you post. The fingers can be pointed wherever one wants to point them but it ultimately comes down to the one making the post, as it is their responsibility to ensure its in the right place and its as simple as that.
