    Just changed PVC valve and wondering how the heck does this thing vent with a flat plate covering it ? Seeking to understand. 02 GTP.

    The area under the cap has vacuum, and the top of the pcv valve doesn't actually touch it, so air can flow out of the valve and into the intake manifold.

    Thanks for the correction, just ordered a pcv pipe for my intake, I guess it was still in my mind.

    You mean a PVC pipe.
