Mechanical or electrical gauges?

Which ones do I use on my 5.3? Doing a oil pressure, air fuel, and exhaust temp, or trans temp until I can get nitrous installed then ill be replacing the last one! If there's something else instead of exhaust r trans let me know!! I defiantly want my oil pressure and wideband

On a side note I've always had old trucks so mechinical was always used then. So I really don't know the difference just throwing that out there call me dumb or not oh we'll lol thanks guys

Well I don't mind oil being ran through my car if you didn't hook it up wrong wont have to worry about it leaking into the cabin. But a wired gauge would be a lot Easyer to clean up in the install vs having a tube go through the car..

and also how would the exhaust temp gauge hook up? Never had it before lol

Id go electric for an oil pressure gauge. For the pyro gauge(EGT) you need a probe for the exhaust. If you do a search on google for pyro gauge installs on diesels you can prob find quite a bit of info as they're pretty essential on those. Can prob even find youtube vids.

EDIT: Lots of the diesel guys use an Isspro brand IIRC. Any pyro gauge would be fine but that's the prefernce of a lot of diesel guys.

For the probe you have to drill and tape your manifold/header and then thread the probe in. Run it up to the gauge and run power/ground wires to the gauge. That's about the jist of it.

I'm doing a wideband, and oil pressure and possibly that auroforce an then when I spray it ill put the nitrous pressure gauge in place of the oil pressure
