Then likely the issue is between the steering wheel and the seat. Or.. maybe a floor mat.

It's funny when I was 17, I couldn't afford to drive badly. It took a few years and a granny car before I drove badly. By then general experience and intelligence had caught up to me.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

If the 3100's are anything like 3800's, the butterfly plate in the throttle body is probably gunked up as hell and making it stick. Clean it, and with the car off pump the gas pedal a ton to free any debris from the cable.

Just keep the whipping around to safer areas. I push my car once in a while too, every week or two, but I always make sure I'm not putting anyone else in harm's way first. And have maintenance up to par so those things hopefully don't happen :P

Just do everyone a favor. Go to the closest Walmart, floor it, dump the clutch and do some nasty burnouts. Since you're already at Walmart, you can appreciate the thumbs up and high fives from the fellow douche bags in the parking lot.

When it eventually breaks, go down into aisle 3 and grab some kitty to clean up the mess and then catch the bus to take you home again.

Moral of the story. Don't be a douche, it's a Grand AM. Respect the car and appreciate it for what it's worth and don't come asking for help when you shoot yourself in the foot.
