A coworker wants me to do a few things on her lesabre... I told her i would do the following-
75 for plugs(copper), wires, fuel filter and air filter
75 for a Trans filter and fluid change
And 40 for a coolant flush. Sound about right?

Sounds good depending on the car. If it's a gp piece of cake. Plugs and wires on my buddy's old t-bird were a pia. I should have charged him another 12pk...
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note II
if those prices are for just labor, your doing fine. maybe to good lol
the la sabra has to be like a bonnie or park ave, lots of room between the engine and fire wall for extra room to get the rear plugs out.
plugs and wires should run about 70 to buy, the trans filter and fluid is a easy 60, and coolant cost 15 bucks. so thats a base parts list cost.
Advance has a pretty good promo going on right now 20% I believe. I figure i get $190 from her and I priced out the parts at $110 or so, leaving me $80 for a couple hours of easy work.
As long as the fuel filter screws off easy, if it is seized plan another 2 hours or so of running to the parts store getting a repair kit, cutting the line and clamping on a new hose for the filter.
Doesn't sound to bad I usually charge $25-30 an hour.
I have to say this because the lady friend will not know this.
Copper plugs are made for cars trying to make power. The car truely wants to have Iridium delco plugs in it.
I don't think she wants to change her spark plugs every 15,000 miles. Delco plugs will last 75-100k easy and are best suited for the car.
The price of you doing the job may go up, but you need to let her know that they won't have to be touched again for most likely the rest of the life of the car.
Yeah I explained that to her. I think her boyfriend is being a cheapskate... Thanks though.
