When I roll up all 4 windows at once I can tell my cars charging system is being severely taxed. I can hear the fuel pump slow down, idle drop and the iac open up, all my lights including dash dim and everything electrical slows way down. The only thing I can think of is my alternator is having a hard time keeping up, maybe it's time for a rebuild. What do you guys think?

I think it's time to pull the door panel and grease all the guides and regulator channel, and then lube the felt guides on the window frame w/ some dry lube. It shouldn't tax the system that much unless the windows are getting sticky and slow. This is also a good killer of window regulators.

And doing all 4 windows at once will do this, and it's probably just showing up more if the windows are dry to begin with. I never roll all 4 up at once, on any of my cars. 2 at a time max.

It dims the lights even if the windows are all the way up....I even see a difference when I turn on the rear defrost, so it's not just the windows. I'm thinking the alternator is unable to keep up. It's original with 140+ on it so its lived a full life. I can get it rebuilt for 70 bucks by a local guy, so I'm gonna just have it done
