You could bridge it with an ammeter and see what the draw is - this might be fixed with a 12 or 15 amp fuse, which should still blow long before any wires are going to get hot. A 30 amp fuse is way too high, but a 12 or 15 would be a different issue and might be an idea.
Yeah, I was thinking about upping the fuse but was a little leery about that. I'll put the ampmeter it and see what happens. Thanks.
