I've got an 03 GT and the temp on the mirror has gone haywire. Given the mileage I was just going to let it be, but the wife would like it replaced. After researching it looks like it's a cheap part, but I'm not sure where the sensor is actually located. Does anyone have a pic/diagram/description as to where the sensor is?

    Thanks in advance

Yes, say its faulty and reads -41º and its really 80º outside it can stop the AC from working.

I think only the 01+ cars got the mirror temp, the 97-00 cars had the temp in the digital HVAC.

Bumping my own thread here, but is that image from underneath, or did you take part of the cowling off from under the hood? We're tearing down the car for this and other repairs this weekend.

Yes, that image is from underneath. If I remember correctly from when I did mine I didn't have to remove anything. I went in through the large bumper openings between the fog lights, and reached up until I found it.

You can replace the sensor by popping the hood and looking down inbetween the rad and bumper. There's plenty of room.
