I flushed and drained coolant from bottom Radiator Hose and was only able to get 4 quarts pure universal coolant and 1 quart 50/50 (4.5 equivalent quarts of coolant)with some spillage. I worked hard getting that in (ie. several bleed and burps). This included filling the overflow reservoir to the hot level. The system holds 12.3 quarts and based on my calculations I now have a .33 percent mix shy of the 50/50 mix recommended. Any explanations, comments or recommendations. It appears to run great at 180 degrees.

your heater core is still full.

You need to back flush to get all new coolant. This is what I use: Prestone® Flush N Fill Kit | Print View | Products | Prestone®
