    Cloth seats are cheap.

If they really are bolstered the same, then why throw money away?

    Leather sucks and is overrated.

I wanted a cloth seat Cobalt with everything on it...

Hence why I'll be upgrading to turbo SS cloth seats tehsoons.

I'm upgrading all togeather and getting a trans am I'm done with gtps.....there cool just not for me I need something rear wheel drive.....now as for the seats I've noticed that the older gp seats blow big time cin comparison to the new ones passenger seats folds over flat and the driver seat has lumbar support also there heated I've never had a problem with moving in my seat while I was cornering hard. Definated upgrade. But I do agree with bluegtp91 the leather does get hot and realllllly cold and u stick to it if your In it for a while. I would rather have cloth over leather. Anyday

heated leather only. cloth is horrible for sucking up fart smells and stains. Also GXP seats fold al the way foreward the first set of 05 gtp's I tried didn't which for me is a big deal since I have a 2 door

Four door here, so the benefit from that might not be as great.

However I found my stock 97-03 "leather" seat sucked up quite a bit of dirt over the past two years. So much so that I'm not sure spending more than I need to on a seat is worth it.

However is the cloth really that bad for dirt?

my cloth has faded, I REALLY want a set of leather with front fold down.. the benefit for a 4dr matt is when the 60/40 rear split is folded down you can put long things into the car without having to have them up the middle into your way.

However, that being said.. since i HAVE a set of seats already, cloth without the front fold down, i really don't need to upgrade to leather. only way id really do it is if i could trade with someone or get em for free/SUPER cheap lol, Its one of those wants not needs, so money doesn't get spent, Like roof rails, i want, but don't need. SO no way I'm spending money on them.

I would only go leather. With all the time I've ejected drinks from our sh!ty cup holders I fell like I'd ruin cloth in a few months.

    Something to consider.

Meh. It gets hot, but it really doesn't bother me. It will cool right down when you run the air conditioner. And as for cold, heated seat solves that. As for sticking to it, I never wear shorts so that's never a problem. Leather just looks luxurious, feels good on le ass, it's just for me. Everyone has their own though. I have a leather recliner in my living room

Matt I say do it. As Nick said they are way more bolstered on the sides. They're much more comfortable and much more supportive. Mine seem to be more cushiony than the 97-03 seats, and they obviously hold you in place better with the bigger bolsters. And yes the cloth vs leather is the same underneath. It's just the covers that are different. If you get cloth it's only a couple wires to get the power working. If you get heated leather it's like 7-8 something like that. Any 04+ should have a folding passenger side seat and a 60/40 split rear just to clarify.

Why do I say do it? Because I have a set out of an 06 in my 97 and a set out of an 08 in my 99.

Not all 04+ have from fold downs. They do all have 60/40.
