What states, ive been thru alot of em both east and west coast as well as the midwest and have never had an issue with the windshield mounted RVM.

I ripped one of them off while the cop was talking to me about a crack in it, said it was a obstruction of view, I invited him to look thru the front window from the driver seat, he agreed the RVM was a bigger obstruction of view then a vertical crack was. I ripped it off.

I find it funny that we let cops get away with whatever they want. You dont need a RVM, side views when adjusted right give you the same field of view that the hi mount RVM does.

in GA they can write it, in a few other states (I have been to every state except Alaska and Hawaii) my passenger mirror is almost useless around here for people behind me since it being a convex it won't show the tailgater (they allow you to be less than a half a car length away in Alabama) also realize the laws are not written by the police, they are enforced by them

I know they arent written by cops, they are just doing their jobs but like anyone else, they are first contact and anger usually is aimed at the wrong people.

Factory mirrors arent convex, why are you running a convex rather then 1" spot convex?

Ive driven without a RVM for over 10 years the GP is the only car ive kept it in due to the onstar and phone. Its easy for me to be against the use of them since im very used to not having one.

    That's a concave mirror.

They can't change federal laws, but they can add to them.

Federal says "You have to have at least two rear facing mirrors".

State XYZ says "We agree, but we also want to add to it that you have to have three."

They didn't change the original law of "at least two". They just raised their local minimum, which is still in compliance with the federal regulation.
