2008 base GP. just got car lil over month ago. everything works great. only issue, when I turn the A/C off there's a musty odor for bout 5 mins. I'm sure its the evaporator drain tube since I've not once seen any moisture draining out underneath car. I've been under car and found what I believe to be the drain tube. It's bout 1/3 engine comp width in on passg side and half way down firewall. problem is, there doesn't seem to be any reasonably way to reach it let alone check it.

Has anyone encountered this and discovered an easier way to check for blocked drain tube. Thought I might be able to access it from cabin air filter area, but no go.Blower would have to come out.Is there a way of access to evaporator from passgr side under dash or is it all pretty much tucked away. Haven't noticed any moisture on floor.Been checking everyday. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hook a vacuum pump to the drain tube. If there's a blockage this will pull it out.

Dude, thats fricking awesome.I didn't think of that.haha. The hard part is even getting my fingertips to reach it.Tight spot and it only sticks out the firewall maybe 2 ins. Is it accessable from evaporator end and use lil bursts of air from port. compressor? I don't even know where to begin looking for it at evaporator or even how to find evaporator. Thanks though. I can give your advice a try. time to McGuiver.
