been trying to diagnose my EGR, I bought one for a 3.1L not a 3.8L and I cannot return it. First question, is there a way to check if the EGR is working without a voltmeter? I don't have one. Question 2, there is a 5 wire plug for the EGR. Typically the red is positive and the black is negative, but that is not always the case. Can anyone confirm this for the EGR. If anyone has a 3.1L car can you tell me the color of the wires in the connector from left to right? I need to see if I can make this 3.1 EGR work on my 3.8. It bolted up fine, I had to modify the gasket about 1.4" bit is it sealed fine so please 3.1 guys/gals give me a hand!
