Hey man i know everyone here is gonna bust your balls for the header wrap, and probably mine too now but i used header wrap on a 3100 motor with stock manifolds. The difference is insane on the 3100 motor where the exhaust is even closer to the radiator and tb than the 3800, "between my grand am and gtp atleast" Havent done it to my l67 yet but im curious to hear how that goes for yo as ive been debating doing it. If u live in a place that gets cold i wouldnt do it though, the coldest it gets here is about 40 and it can take a long time to warm up even in traffic. I just used whatever autozone had on the rack, u can litterally drive the car for hours on a hot day pop the hood and wrap ur hand around the manifold and not burn urself. Even the upper intake stays cool enough to not burn you anymore. The header wrap package will tell you that you need to purchase special clamps for installation, i just used regular hose clamps and theyve been fine. But the guys on here are alot more knowledgable and experienced with these things than i am, so dont go out and crack ur heads because of my experience. Goodluck!
