I have a 95 PontiacGrandPrix 3.1L 6 cyl. and it keeps stalling out randomly. You usually have to wait a good half hour in order to start it again. No engine codes are being sent. It has been doing this for years but now it is stalling more often and it is harder to get running again. When I have the cruise control on at 70 mph and when I go up hills and overpasses it seems to shake or hesitate a little. When it does this if you hit the gas it is fine. Today it stalled out as I was coasting up to an air pump at the gas station. Every time I tried to start it up it would rev up to like 1k rpm and then die. I tried for a good ten minutes. The fuel gauge was showing half a tank. I pushed it across the parking lot and filled it up with 93 high octane. I tried again and on the third start it fired up. Still no engine codes. I had the computer and throttle position sensor replaced because those are some codes that came up in the past. This is really driving me crazy. My mechanic tested the fuel pressure and said it was good. Also I have always noticed during 1st few minutes of idling it smells like raw fuel coming out of the dual exhaust. It has always been this way since I have owned it the past five years. Please help!!!!!
