so my sister called this morning with a dead battery ,she had gotten a jump by the time i arrived to help but it would not start although it was cranking fine there was no radio ,power windows or anything but a few lights on the dash .after sec or two i new it never had a dead batt becuase of how strong it was so i removed and cleaned both terminals ,the pos. side was pretty dirty and corroded. it still did not change anything i then noticed it hard to remove the key from the ignition and decided to change it , in removing the steering cullum cover i saw a botton next to the key pushed it and was able to remove the key . i then noticed that the few lights that were on in the dash remained on even after removal of the key in the off pos. i changed the ignition switch and it still does the same thing ,i checked all fuses and power to fuse pannel under the hood it all seems i didnt seem to have voltage at the panel in the glove box what would cuase this besides a faulty ignition switch

Did you check the fuses and relays under the hood? The voltage runs through there before getting to the fuse panel inside.

Edit: Nevermind. I didnt read your post that well.

What do you mean here? These two statements kinda contradict each other. Do you have 12v at any of your fuses in the glove box?

check the power connection on the back of the underhood box that feeds into the cabin.
