I kept the stock rubber tubing for now until I can get some aluminum tubing. I cut the mounting ring off the stock airbox and fixed it to the end of the hose, shaved off the ridges, and pushed the cone flush over the end of the stock hose (where the clamp had been). It holds the cone firmly enough that I didn't tie it down.
I noticed the engine temps run up to 20* hotter when poking around or stopped. I know it's a hot air intake, but is this typical?
