ok,so check it out,i took my car to the shop to get the differential changed out and the guy tells me it would take a day or two and i didn't have a ride back that day,so i went back to the wrecking yard and asked the guy if he gave me back some money back i would do the work myself and he agreed and gave me $100 back so i paid $400 for a 06 trans .
so today i did the work with the tranny in the car , only had to take off the tire and trans axel and disconnect the strut and rotor.
i followed the info i got from BILLBOOST37 to change the differential, i used my original one from my 04 .please note THERE IS A B I G DIFFERENCE IN THE GEAR RATIO ON THE 04, IT'S A LOT SMALLER THEN THE 06, BUT AFTER THE CHANGE MY CAR RUNS GREAT. THANKS BILLBOOST37.i will do a wright up on it later after i get some more pictures, i have the whole job well i did it but need other's to give everyone a good view and how too.PEACE.

I thought changing the diff doesn't change the gear ratio of the trans just HD vs Non-HD? Unless you just had a bad diff.

Edit- Never mind..I saw that you can get a 3.05 final drive diff.

@pure2sin , after going back to the yard I got the tranny from , I looked at the motor it was connected to they had 06 marked on it and it wasn't s/c , when I put it in, it would shift hard , so I took it to get reprogrammed but the guy said it was the wrong gear ratio and if I just changed the differential it would be fine. So I changed it and guess what.... It runs sweet now !!! And the gears on the 06 were bigger then my original one's from my 04.

Glad you got it done. However if you pulled a strut and brakes, then you did it the harder way.

Well I didn't take them out, I just disconnected them to move the spindle out of the way a little bit, but a screw driver n hammer worked out fine to get the differ out , whole job took about an hour 1/2.thanks for the help bro.
