i finally got the dis connect and picks to get the old O rings out, but i could not find the orange O ring, i just got a box of assorted black O rings. will the black ones work or do i need to find the red/orangish O ring. i dont want to pull it apart and not have the rights O rings and have it leak worse that it does now.

I found them at the help section of the parts store in an assorted pack. I'd use teh orange. unless you black ones say fuel rated.

no one seems to have the orange ones around here or know wtf im talking about, i hate auto parts stores with kids working the counter, some are better than others but most are clue less.

Hmm, wish I knew about that Dorman link before. I gave up as soon as the dealer told me the whole fuel line had to be changed. I remember it being in the Hundreds. I replaced those orings on my Regal and Grand Prix with one's in my Nitrile O-ring set from Harbor Freight. After 3 years, they haven't leaked a drop, but I see those Dorman o-rings are Vitons. Harbor Freight just started carrying the Vitons a little bit ago so I picked them up on sale. 180 Piece Viton O-Ring Kit When I get the car back together I'll change them out with those. Good to see the Dormans are available though. They're $4.06 at RockAuto now.

well tomorrow is the weekend for most, but being that i am having another 4 day weekend it looks like i may get on it if it stops raining today. if not tomorrow for sure. still need to get the right O rings too.

and i need to head over to meineke bob ( old bar friend and engine builder) to see about cutting off my res and putting a glass pack in there, its quiet now but the muffler wield aint holding up. this guy used to do a deal, 5,000 for a built to the balls big block chevy. thats for a a no core installed BBC, cant beat that with a stick or a hammer lol

got the o rings and swapped them out. no more leak.

i had to buy the assorted box from napa, its all i could find local, and was trying to put the wrong size ring in for about 20 minutes as the old ones fell apart and i no longer had a reference to go by.
