wipers stop in the up postion! they still work just fine but when i go to turn them off they stop in the up postion not the biggest deal but really annoying. any one know how to fix this?

When you pull them and go under the cowl. there's a little tab that the parking piece hits to determine where park is. If your piece is bent (common over time) then this can happen. Another common cause is for the module attached to the motor to get wet as water/ice gets in there and can mess up the module.
My fix was to first try the parking adjustment. Didn't happen to be my issue. Then I picked up a motor/module assembly from the JY for $30

I had the parking tab issue twice. Simple fix once the cowl is removed.
Had a mechanic tell me it was the motor and they wanted more than $100 for the repair if i remember correctly.

okay i am a diy kinda guy so once i get a day off work ill take a look at it and see whats up. ive been slowly bringing this car back to life
its a 2002 gtp 4 door red perfect body 171k only paid 1k for it now ive had to replace the LIM gasket,waterpump, serpentine and supercharger belts new pads and rotors all the way around and 2 tires as well all in all about a couple hundred bucks maybe a grand so all in all i got a great car at a steal and the poor guy i bought it from said it was only a "parts" car that the heads were blown... noob
