Hello i have a 2000 grand prix gtp my performance shift is not turning on and off.
does anyone have any information why it wouldnt work or common problems? I was also wondering what wires control it so I can make sure all plugs and everything are connected. I did find a snipped positive and negative wire under the dash, but I cannot find the other side of the wire that it was connected to. do the wires have anything to do with the performance shift? Thanks in advance for help.

Changes shift points slightly. Its more of a novelty item than anything.

I have the same prob. I cannot figure out why it won't switch on. Ever since I had my wheel bearing replaced tc and perf shift won't work.
And I noticed a lot of replies say it doesn't do much... If u have the 3800perf tune it raises tranny pressure, raises shift points to where u choose, ect.
The guy that tunes for me told me its basically like an instant second tune. Told me if I really wanted to utilize it, I could have a whole race tune on that button. And obviously that makes sense seeing as how these other tuners allow u to do just that. If I could turn on my fuel pump voltage raiser, raise shift points, do the 1-3, 2-4 skip shift, raise trans pressure, start tranny co2 spray I think it'd be worth it!
