Can you drive your GP with performance shift on all the time or will it cause unnecessary wear and tear on my motor or tranny
I believe it would be better for it. It would cause less clutch wear, only draw back is that the shift are quicker so it isn't as smooth a ride.
yea performance shifts fine
My car hasn't left the performance shift mode since i bought it unless i accidentally bumped the button. Actually better for the tranny and you never know when you'll need that extra kick in the pants to pass someone.![]()
now when it shifts hard the way it does when its on make it harder on your car?
Not really. You're not making any serious power for it to be harsh on the tranny's hard parts.
The only things the Performance Shift does for your car is to increase line pressure and change your shift points. That is basically the role of the performance shift. Now in theory the increased pressure can cause a little more premature ware on hardparts, but it is so slight you would never notice it more than likely![]()
