Great advice!! I have done this for some time because I have replaced 2 window regs in my '99.

The two motors in each reg had bad spots on the motor com. If the current gets too high the window motor controller thinks it is at the end of travel and turns it off. Running it if bad may also dammage the switch since it is drawing excessive current... I had to replace one. That is why the WD40 is great PM.
