I give him props for getting it running etc.
Whether it was worth all of the effort and expense (i.e. what its HP gain) is yet to be seen.
Regardless, well done in getting it running![]()
Spent about $1800 and got $700 back from the sale of my GenV setup. I recouped more costs by selling the M62 that I had for mock-up... about half of what the build cost to be exact. Guess I was lucky... or just made good decisions and had a solid grasp on what I was getting myself into.
No one's ever done what I did back in any day. Spent under a grand and I'm maxing injectors that should be good for 350whp. Let's see your tiny little turbo in action. Oh it's not done? Or even close to done? Or even a thought... or just an empty insult?

Not gaining 40-50whp was your claim... you're very close to finding out if you can tell me so.
So you officially think nothing over 30whp and a loss of power on the same pulley... K... Let's clarify one thing though. The TVS doesn't need to spin much faster at all. In fact it outflows a GenIII M90 with the same size pulley once you start going to smaller pulleys, despite being 10% (not 33%) smaller.Originally Posted by 98GrandPrixIraqVet

Perhaps a closer look at the behavior of other members (especially a certain admin) towards myself would have yielded a more informed response. Not once in that thread did I lie about anything. I have pics and videos of the M62 on the car prior to the TVS being swapped in. BTW the project has been completed so I did in fact know it WAS going to happen. I came to this forum for a different perspective and more ideas from a variety of people who otherwise wouldn't have ever seen the swap. Instead of getting that, I was attacked, bashed, harassed and then targeted once I spoke out against other members and mods/admins. It was disgraceful how I was treated and this is 100% a reflection on the forum as a whole.Originally Posted by GeddyLee

It's clear what happened.
Moving on, let's get to some more quotes!
So you admit you're just being a jerk? This is great behavior that you display as an administrator of this forum. It's too bad that the completion of the project and subsequent results will just make you look even more like a jerk.Originally Posted by bluegtp91

Swing and a miss! My threads have the most views and responses on 3 different forums in their respective sections on the first few pages, including this one.
Hi! I'd like to know where you get off thinking you can tell your forum members that I've screwed "plenty" of people including valuable members of this site. For the record I haven't screwed anyone... except maybe you by exposing your behavior as an admin/face of the forum. You'll do and say anything so that people won't believe me or like me. You do know that my attitude does most of the work for you... no idea why you have to go above and beyond that but clearly you feel some sort of need to smear me.
This is true! But as I always say, there's no need to lie when the truth sets people off the best.
Hey matt! You know... I don't mind if you don't care for me. That's fine. But at least dislike me for the right reasons. I think you all need to stop drinking the juice that Blue is serving everyone and look at things from an objective standpoint.
You're still on that SVTp thread? Please. You wan't some cliff notes? I posted a thread about beating an 03 Cobra in my GTO on SVTp, chaos ensues.
Need I say more? Anyone with half a brain is knows SVTp is full of the most irrational "thinkers" in the world. However, lie I did not. Check the threads out again and you'll see a theme that shares a lot in common with my M62 swap thread. Although depending on your views going into it you may arrive at the same conclusion anyway and all you would have done is waste your time.
If I had to do the swap again it would be "bolt on". All the little issues were solved.
Your second comment shows the limit of your understanding regarding the differences in the blowers. Efficiency, drag, and delta temps are exactly what allow you to "force more air into it".
Maybe you can reevaluate why I act the way I do towards certain people. Clearly you see I maintain normal, civil, and intelligent conversations with a number of members on club gp. I even started off on this forum in a very civil, non-cocky and non-dick way. It wasn't until after I was targeted that I started becoming those things to certain members.
Physical dimension of the casting means little.
Your guess is right in line with what you have previously displayed as your limit of comprehension on this topic.
Anyway that's all the energy I have to allocate to this forum. For those who are genuinely interested in the outcome of this project, I don't think there's a chance I'll be banned from clubGP so you can check out the thread over there. Once you look past the fog that Blue keeps trying to put out in front of you, you might notice who the real jerks are. It's a shame that so many of you were unable to construct objective ideas and opinions regarding me and this swap. Hopefully you can all take a step back and try to see things for what they really are!
As for the swap... so far it's been great, the car moves out hard and the injectors being maxed out is a pretty clear indication of the power it's making.
As soon as I eliminate low fuel pressure as a possible reason why the car is going lean, I'll order up some 60# injectors and hit the dyno.
