So thats about 30 minutes of work right?
Yeah..last I knew Nick didn't have a garage. Right Nick?
We got blasted. If he's saying it needs more work, likely it's not happening until this snow melts off. We got 15 inches just north of him.
Gen/Nick, the "facebook" thing is bs, take it or leave it. Nothing happened or went down like stated that would cause any mature person to get pissy for more than a couple hours. I'm still laughing at how a guy with a 2 foot by 3 foot drain pan spills most of the trans fluid on a floor. Especially one that said he could do balljoints on his own and did a trans swap and rack swap. .
i went for a ride tonight and its FAST
Tvs 1320 Buick regal - YouTube
so when is it hitting the dyno?
Congrats on getting it running. Is there a vid with it driving?
dude, all you got was a running video? where is the in car video for acceleration comparison? THIS PROVES NOTHING.
He probably needs a few days to tune it, with the weather up there i'm not sure he can make some decent runs.
Here's a better vid:
TVS 1320 on a Buick Regal GS 3800 - YouTube
Weather is in the mid 50's this week.
that you can put a supercharger on a car and start the motor?
lol, its so small.
It makes my GenIII look like a Weiand.
I believe what Bio is getting at is...you said it's fast, then posted an idling vid.
The vid doesn't back up the speed claim at this point. Being close to the dyno, are you aiming over there this weekend to get some numbers?

Back on topic, I just took a ride without touching the tune. The car was running about 8psi on the 3.15'' and flowing a little less air than the M90 was on the 3.2. However, even with the blower whine being much less noticeable, it hauled. I was confused because the boost levels were lower, about 8psi vs 10psi and there was less noise, but the 60-110 pull that I did wen't by in a flash. I took a scan which I'll post in a few minutes.
I can't wait to pulley down, tune it, and jump on the dyno.
all i know is the car ran and it was fast didnt know i was on trialQuote:
So, then...it was kinda pointless, wasn't it? All that trouble doesn't seem worth the 20 horse he might have gained and less heat.Quote:

If he would have been running a 2.5" or something tiny and an intercooler, might be a different story...but then you could have just ran a 2.8" on the GenV with an IC he had and make more power. Like I told the guy way back when, different isn't always better. Even gaining 40 horse...the $ per HP figure is way skewed. I can buy a used $200 nitrous kit and go faster...
As well, *in for 60-110 pull he is talking about* I'll compare it to my poopy highway pull as well.
And that's how we know your Nick. :th_laugh-lol3: The attitude and typical posting style.
There's no trial. You showed a vid that wasn't what was expected with the comment put with it. In reality they weren't connected, beyond being the project.
Do you have speed on the scan as well? While it's only a few cells, I'd be interested to see the speed pickup in the time lapsed.
It's always been a given that comparing boost levels on a M90 was irrelevant, therefore comparing boost numbers from an M90 to a TVS is pointless as well. I think he was just pointing out the most noticable change.
I laugh when boost numbers from a turbo is compared to M90 boost. An unefficient 14psi from an m90 is probably making less power than a turbo on 6psi. His TVS should do well, probably a 15% increase, but some of the logic in this particular thread fails at proving him wrong.
He said he's shooting for the dyno on Sunday. A speedo run won't give us anything but another 100 posts about nothing. Dyno and 1/4 mile will shed some better light.
I give him props for getting it running etc.
Whether it was worth all of the effort and expense (i.e. what its HP gain) is yet to be seen.
Regardless, well done in getting it running :th_thumbsup-wink:
Well I give him props for actually getting this far:
But this guy put this on his car and it started and idled even. Doesn't mean it worked. lol:
