I have seen mufflers discussed in several places but have not seen an answer that pertains to me. So I hope I don't get to much flack about using the search button.

I am looking for a deep throaty exhaust that is a little tiny bit louder than the factory on an 04. I like the factory but mine has a rust patch that is about to go through so I need to replace it. I am basically looking for the factory sound with a little bit a volume added to it.... but not much

Any opinions are much appreciated ?

I searched exhaust but everybody is asking for good sounding exhaust ..... I'm looking for something specifically just a bit louder than stock. Youtube doesn't give a a good representation because some microphones are more sensitive then others. For example I was set on borla pros but then in one video they seemed pretty loud.

I don't get why we can't ask questions on here..... I've noticed that you litterly have to be scared to bring some things up.... whats the big deal. ITS A F**N FORUM

Stock catback + glasspack instead of the factory resonator = louder than stock
Deleted mufflers with stock everything else = louder than stock
Factory everything with no converter = louder than stock
Catless headers with a factory catback = louder than stock
Flowmaster mufflers + glasspack = much louder than stock and drone city

    Better?

best off leaving it stock with different mufflers if you want.

or just leave it 100% stock and make the motor sound cooler.

I have to get new mufflers due to a rust pocket.... so thats why i am replacing them. otherwise i would leave them alone.... so i am looking specifically for something that is aftermarket but yet have the rumble of our stock exhaust. If I throw some random factory replacement from an exhaust shop on there it will be quieter than stock. I was thinking borla pros? anybody know how loud they really are... Will they wake the neighbors?

    No.

    They aren't loud.

Flowmasters are loud...anything chambered is louder...by quite a bit.

Borla, Magnaflow, Corsa, SLP, Dynomax Super Turbo's...those are all pretty quiet mufflers...Reptile has DST's...and they are quiet as hell until he hammers on it.

<---Can def say the flowmasters are loud. had 40 series on first and it had lots of drone, but the super 44's are 300% better, but yes loud enough to wake the neighbours

Super turbo mufflers from Summit Racing. I have yet to hear someone say it's too loud or it's too quiet. Happy medium with a nice low deep throaty sound without the rasp.
