I am new to this forum, I currently have two Grand Prix's, both are 2001 models. One has a 3.1 liter engine, and the other has a 3.8 liter engine. I am trying to make one good car out of the two. I had just bought the one with a 3.8 engine that was rolled onto its side. It was running good and we drove it some, but the security light kept flashing and now it will not start. I found that it has a pass key III system, but was wondering if a person can bypass the system and how is it done? I had worked as a mechanic for quit awhile now, but I am not familiar with the pass key system. Any ideas will be of help.

tried the relearn and it did not work. My old auto instructor said it can be bypassed by using an ohmeter, but his diagram does not make sense to me.

An ohmmeter will not bypass anything, as all it does is read out impedance in a circuit. Im curious to this diagram you have. Do you have a way of scanning it and posting it? I would like to see it.

03 GTP...Its got pulleys and stuff.
