I'm going motor shopping this weekend at local junkyards to get a SC motor , what would have to be done to swap motors I know the displacement is the same on a GT and GTP. But would it be different if i got the motor out of a regal or ultra ? Or just any other 3800 SC motor

Grab the PCM form the same car as the SC'ed engine. If you can. Or else you will need a Tune. I'd get one anyway, but that can be done later if you get the PCM from the SC'ed car.

3800 S/C is a 3800 S/C. Make sure and get the heads with the engine as the L67 has different Fuel injector placement(in the heads). Also a 97 PCM will only connect to a 97 wiring harness. All I can think of off the top of my head. You will want to grab the wiring harness as well for map sensor etc.

    You want the motor
Either a harness or the install kit from Intense/ZZP/WBS (it's 2 wires and a map sensor pigtail)
and a PCM programmed to your vin with an SC engine file on it.

If you get a motor out of a PA/Bonne you'll need to swap a couple small exterior parts over, like the engine mount etc. Small easy stuff. Yes..any SC motor 96-03 is the L67 motor. I say 96 because W bodies didn't get it first.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
