Hopefully someone knows about this problem

I have a 2000 GTP with climate control. My blower motor went from intermittent to not working at all. I bench tested the motor and it was fine so I replaced the module. Module looked almost melted where the plug goes in and plug also looked a little burned. Module to fan side looked ok.

Bought new ac delco module and installed it and it worked great for about a week. I started up the car after work today and the fan went to high for about 3 minutes then it quit. I took out the new module and PIN B isn't melted but it does have a ring around the pin like maybe it started to get hot.

I guess it could just be a coincidence and now the fan died and the module is ok but I have a feeling if I take out the fan it will run when I bench test it.

    Any pointers appreciated!

    thanks,
    -Dan

I finally had some time to work on this.

It looks like the connector that goes into the module from the car has a bad connection, That plug was partially melted from the last module.

I was able to get the blower to run by wiggling the plug.

Besides a junk yard anyone know where I can order a replacement plug? I like a trip to the junkyard but it takes a day for me.

    thanks

Not sure which connector you need, but RockAuto shows several different connector available.

i used these guys when i needed a maf and iat pig tails, shoot them a email they may be able to help, GM Engine Connector Pigtails, Extensions o2 sensor,IAT,etc items in Auto Wiring Solutions store on eBay!

i actually called their store and talked to one of the guys there, very help full people. most of what they sell is ls1 related but they can make any pig tail for any gm sensor.

and they were 10 bucks a piece.
