Hello, I recently bought an Aeroforce Interceptor scan gauge from zzperformance.com. I have an 04 Grand Prix GTP and therefore ordered the PT version (PT 401 V2.8).

In scan mode, screen turns black after 2-3 seconds. When I touch the buttons, lights blink red. So basically it's not a power issue.

I searched on forums but haven't found my answer. It is plugged to the OBDII only and the jumper is still on. I haven't used the optional 3 wire harness. I also selected limited parameters, (RPM and MPG), in case some were not compatible, and still shuts down when putting it in scan mode.

I would really appreciate some help with this issue.

    Thanks for your time.

you need to use that 3 wire harness, the aero needs a constant 12v power source.

Since you have an 04 you can use a jumper, meaning a jumper from a computer motherboard. You can get them for free at most computer stores. I got mine from the geek squad at best buy. Draws the power directly from the obd port.

Not in the 04 Grand Prix, it's supposed to be plug and play...
