    Uh I will be upgrading to LS1 slotted rotors and yes there is a difference. I had stockers on my previous GP and upgraded to drilled and slotted, they lasted longer and were much cooler after making track passes.

    WHY Blank rotors are better than cross drilled and/or slotted - Honda-Tech

    Here's some general info. His examples aren't rock solid, but he's got the right idea.

    do a google search for f1 car brakes, see what comes up.

    Fbody brakes are going to be an improvement over stock, yes. Slotted or not.

    D/S rotors are favored for their ability to stay cooler than normal/factory style rotors.
    Clearly a flat surface will grip harder because its more surface contact, however more friction equals more heat.
