You won't have to worry about doing mods because when the baby comes you will not have any money to mod.

Keep it stock and start saving for a house or other family things. Your family should be your first priority. Plus you already purchased this vehicle outright so you have no car payment and insurance should be fairly cheap.

If you do plan on modding I would just suggest small things like an intake, dp, and 3.4 pulley. All easy modifications to do with your 2/10 automotive knowledge. It will make for a peppy daily without breaking the bank.

If you are concerned with high mileage modifying fwiw my 97 has 198K and I dd it with a turbo kit.

And every time my 5 year old daughter is in the car she says, "Go fast daddy, go fast!"

Good luck and honestly you can't go wrong with these cars. They are peppy, cheap, reliable, and last forever.
