Since yesterday my 2000 GTP has gotten more and more difficult to start. When I turn the ignition and hold it, the lights dim a little, it waits a few seconds, then the starter comes on, and it starts right up. This has gone from yesterday afternoon where the hesitation was maybe a second, to today where it's taking longer and longer each time, and currently at maybe 5-6 seconds. Is the starter going bad, or should I be looking somewhere else? The battery was also replaced less than a month ago. Is it possible I got a bad one?

    Thanks,
    Steve

How do the cables look at the battery and the ground points? I had this happen on my GT and the connections at the battery were corroded and loose. Make sure they're clean and tight and go from there.

Have your battery tested and check your battery connections.

Thanks for the help all. It ended up being the starter. Swapped it out, and everything started working just fine. Well as fine as all of the various other issues with it let it be.
