My problem:
I can not get my car inspected. There has been an issue with my front 02 sensor ever since the headers and exhaust were put on. I had to lengthen the front 02 sensor harness by splicing it. It threw a p0053 code but was still inspected and did not cause any problems performance wise. Recently I put a cam and supercharger in the car and when it was finally done it was time to get it inspected. Even with my street tune from a local tuner the p0053 code was still present and it failed inspection. So I than went about trying to solve the issue. I replaced the spliced extension with a factory extension and replaced the 02 sensor after clearing all codes. It now revs at idol and smells a little worse. The p0053 code is gone but it now throws codes from low voltage and stuff from the front 02 sensor. It seems like my idol is getting worse and the 02 sensors are absolutely black as night from it running pig rich. I really need to solve this issue
Cliffs:
-Put headers/exhaust on
-Spliced extension for front 02 sensor
-Threw a p0053 code but was never an issue
-Put cam and supercharger in car and went to get it inspected after work was done but p0053 code was still present
-Tried fixing issue by replacing spliced extension with factor extension and new 02 sensor
-Runs pig rich idols funny and now throws a code for low voltages from the 02 sensor
The p0053 code would only come on every other day after being cleared and only came on upon startup it is caused by a bank 1 sensor 1 heater core or something along those lines
The new codes that show up only come on while driving and I can not get it inspected because the monitors arent ready after clearing all codes and it will not stay off long enough to have the monitors ready
How I plan to fix it: (I know nothing about wiring and such)
I got the voltages and amps check out and out of the 4 wires I believe 3 of them have 12 volts running through them and the one that controls the pcm or whatever (black and white wire) has 0 volts going to it at the connection from the factory harness the the extension.
At the pcm the black and white wire has only 7 volts coming from it and it should have 12 I guess.
I plan on running wires directly from the pcm to a new factory harness connector and than bring it to the people who tuned my car.
