hey guys i just went to home depot today and got some PVC piping, i got a 45 degree angle one and i got an adapter that would get it to 3 inches from 4 inches
also i bought two 4 inch couplers there

they didnt have the air filters, so i went to advanced auto parts
bought the longer of the two spectre filters...looks awesome

the whole thing put together is 16 inches long, i am not sure about if its gonna fit...i can probably trim atleast an inch off of the adapter thing...

just kinda wanna know whats up, and show off what i did on the spur of the moment...

thank you for all input, and i hope this will work how i want it to, otherwise ill just put it on the throttle body

Why exactly are you doing all that when you can just mount it onto the Throttle Body?

Are you just trying to make it look nicer?

EDIT: BTW, get your filter from here, it'll definitely save you money.

Mounting it to the throttle body is not the most ideal thing depending on mods done to the car.

Lower mods, better off not doing a open cone..

I think you'll be fine, if not, you can always take off some of the extra pcv you bought and try different things, don't be to afraid to have a shorter intake (Just a bend and couplers)

Thanks for the link post A-hole. You made me impulse buy. Looks like I now own an AEM filter as well to add to the collection of them in my garage.

my intake is 100% done now, i strapped down the PCM, drilled a hole for the IAT and got it secured to the throttle body a lot better than it was before, plus i moved a wire thing out of the way so it might get more flow

    pixs

    stupid airbox! DIE!

    goin in for a landing

    now, the finished product

its kinda squished in there...i think itll be fine though

the PCM got a chain of zip ties tied around it...i kinda made a ghetto chain out of them and somewhat secured it...

you cant really see it very well...but i took it around under it and around a beam thing on my car in the front, and then made like a sub chain over it

i wuv my new intake, and i wuv i when it goes vroom vroom

Good job. Check the hose clamps once in a while and be careful when pressure-washing the car.

Is that a dry flow or oiled filter?

it is a oiled...and yeah, i suppose when you pressure-wash there is a chance you could get it into that filter isnt there?

It's possible, but I am more paranoid about water on the filter than most people.
